I do think the condition of nails (mine’s not great) and weather matter though. In humid climates this is great for me. In dry places, not so much - but that’s true with everything at my age (56). **Q: Is this base coat for gel or liquid polish?** A: I use it on my bare nails not on gel. **Q: Are you supposed to apply a coat of clear nail polish before the color?** A: The Horse Power is clear. You can use it as a base coat or by itself. It strengthens your nails. I'm sure you could add color on after you apply it. ## Frequently Bought Together - butter LONDON Base Coat Nail Polish, Horse Power - Nail Rescue Basecoat Helps Restore & Repair Damaged Nails - Nail Strengthener Helps Nail Growth & Prevent Staining - Cruelty & Gluten Free Nail Care - butter LONDON Nail Strengthener for Damaged Nails, Mellow the Yellow - Nail Hardener & Strengthener Polish Exfoliates, Brightens & Rejuvenates Yellow & Dry Nail Beds & Roots - Nail Care Products - butter LONDON Cuticle Remover Liquid, Melt Away - Cuticle Softener Oil Exfoliator Gently Removes Dry & Overgrown Skin - Nail Care for Clean & Healthy-Looking Nails, Home Manicure & Pedicure --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/23497833-butter-london-base-coat-nail-polish-horse-power-nail-treatment](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/23497833-butter-london-base-coat-nail-polish-horse-power-nail-treatment) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
