The five, three-inch casters glide effortlessly over an exposed aggregate pool deck with tooled expansion joints and make a patio umbrella much more mobile and resistant to blowover from wind.I did two of these by placing the umbrella stand in the lower tier of the barrel dolly. I used a 2.5" hole saw to bore a hole in the bottom center of a 5-gallon plastic bucket and bored eight, 0.5" diameter drain holes around the circumference (just above the bottom of the bucket), which I put into a burlap, 'sack race' bag (available in a four-pack on Amazon for about $10) with an 'X' cut in the bottom, directly beneath the bucket hole. I lowered the bucket/bag over the umbrella stand, folded the excess width of burlap over itself, and wrapped the excess burlap height over the bucket rim. I put the umbrella in the stand, but did not use the side screw to retain it.
