We bought them to put in the bottom of a couple of large collapsible crates that our small dogs sleep in when we go camping. Two of the pads completely cover the bottom of the crate so they have some cushion and helps keep them warmer during the night. During the day, we take them out and just throw them around the floor in the trailer so they have something to lay on during the day whenever they're not up on the sofa snuggling with us! They are also a nice size to put on the back seat of the truck for them to lay on while traveling. They are washable and seem pretty well made so I expect they'll last a good while.
