A: No these will not cut through 50mm pvc-coated wire fencing ,use a angle grinder with a steel cutting blade or heavy duty wire cutters.

**Q: Will these scissors cut carpet?**
A: Yes easily very good and strong, mind your fingers.

**Q: would these be able to cut 0.5mm sheet aluminium?**
A: I think they would but bear in mind they are scissors and not metal shears.
Mine are being used extensively for garden work, cutting up compost etc.
They are very robust and good quality.
