**Q: Is this mic rechargeable? Or does it need constant power?**
A: It needs phantom power, there is NO battery option. I’ve used it many times with a zoom H6 and Zoom F8N which are quite portable and supply phantom power.

**Q: How far away from the mic will this record quality audio?**
A: how loud is the sound ....?

There are several factors that must be considered ... such as ambient sound ... this is a condenser microphone, which means that it will pick up any ambient sound ... the closer you are to the specific sound you want to record, the better. I am not an expert, but of all the microphones that I have this is the best.

**Q: Can you use this on a smart phone? Or do you need a special cord?**
A: No, it needs power, so no use for direct connection to a phone.

**Q: Can this mounted to a dslr camera (panasonic lumix gh4)?**
A: You will also need to power the mic.
