The New Riders of the Purple Sage, signed to Columbia Records by Clive Davis, released its eponymous first album in September 1971 to widespread acclaim. In the next 11 years the band toured and released over 12 albums, selling over 4 million records. The New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Radio Mixes and Bonus CD, features edited versions of Where I Come From, Barracuda Moon and Higher along with live NRPS unreleased Jams in only the way NRPS can bend a tune, Pour House Jelly & Let It Go, featuring Professor Louie on the Hammond Organ joining NRPS. Other classic NRPS Jams, Peggy O, Truck and Driving Man This CD features songs written by David Nelson and Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another great live recording by NRPS !

I really , really like NRPS and have done since the 70s when I was an impoverished student ...... still penniless , but after listening to this CD I am just going have to get its companion album .Usually I do not records on spec , without hearing them , or having some idea of the content - but NRPS is an exception , and I have always been very pleased with what is delivered .If you like NRPS or are considering it as a gift , buy this record - you will not be disappointed . This is a delightful album with superb sound quality !

Good quality and attention in the recording masters. The content tends to be more rock-tinged than the original NRPS musicianship and vocals were. Nice enough job, even with the new members.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the Official Release!!!!

This Radio Mixes and Live Bonus CD has some of the same songs as the Official Release but these are Extended Jams and are played as such and better Highlite these songs. It would be better if NRPS just releases some LIVE shows on cd because they are able to better Highlite these songs Live and Extended. My Preference. Sorry Bout That. They are already Great Songs that sound even GREATER Live and Extended.
