Review: Solid functional toolbox that has drawers! - Exactly as expected. The empty box is quite heavy, fully loaded up this box will be extremely heavy. For my purposes, its to be a stationary tool box that will sit inside a shelf system and it works brilliantly in that respect. The entire box has a solid and sturdy feel from the smooth opening drawers to the latches and hinges for top cover. The drawers stay in a closed position when pushed with a little pressure on the right side of the tray so there's no chance of the drawer creeping back out, which is nice feature. The included diagrams show the drawer tracks can be oiled and drawers removed if needed. By default, when the top cover is down it engages a bar down the back of the box that locks all the drawers in place, this is helpful should you have to move the toolbox. The locking bar can be removed by tapping out a single large pin that holds that bar in place and the bar pulls out, which I have done. It does everything I expect it to, along with a nice look and feel, I'll have this for years to come.

**Q: do the drawers lock closed when the lid is down?**
A: Only the first one , the other two didn’t lock in on mine..my 3 yr old opened it..

**Q: Does it have ball bearing drawers?**
A: The Husky box at HDepot has ball bearing slides and is $49 online free ship. I bought 3 and they are good. Top opens and has a swing up smaller tray.

**Q: How deep are the drawers? thank you**
A: The 3 drawers have a depth of 2 inches, the top tray has a depth of 2.5 inches plus the depth of the top.

**Q: Does anyone know how deep the space is in the top section? Meaning once the lid is closed what is the exact measurements in there? Thank you.**
A: The measurements are 20 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 1.5 inches high.

Had this toolbox a number of years ago and really liked it, but I passed it along to a family member. Missing it and finding that the tool bags were not cutting it (no pun intended), I went on the search for a replacement. Was happy to find this and purchased. The toolbox is of sturdy construction and the doors slide easily, even when loaded. The drawers can be removed for easy cleaning or placement of lining material. The locking bar can also be defeated so that you can slide drawers out without opening the lid. Very happy with purchase, delivery and quality of this toolbox.
