Review: Silicone goodness - 17/4/25 Update: Following my review I discovered these mats were too big for my oven tray. The item is now 30x22cm, not 30x20cm as listed. As this size is not listed as a separate item I have to assume it wasn't the wrong item sent to me but that the product has changed so be aware. The rest of my review stands. Have ordered these a couple of times and find them such a useful alternative to non-stick parchment paper or equivalent. Being washable and reusable is obviously the biggest selling point as well as the fact they are the perfect size for most of my small/medium oven trays. I hate the faff of cutting the exact shapes of parchment paper needed for trays as if cooking wasn't a chore enough as it is. I don't need a Blue Peter task added in on top. That said, each one only lasts about 9 months before it degrades and has to be discarded. An equivalent roll of paper would likely last around the same time so I'm not sure either my pocket or the environment is better off but either way it's a nice convenience. Keep in mind that they're not impervious to high temps. Regularly cooking at 200 degrees or more will accelerate degradation of the silicone. It will first turn brown and then gradually start to peel. This isn't a product flaw. At this price point, all silicone will do that eventually. Overall, a nice affordable product which can help add some convenience and I would happily recommend them.

**Q: Can you use these for chicken nuggets?**
A: You can use then for anything really that you don't want stuck or likelihood of them sticky to a baking tray.  So chips nuggets pastries pies etc

**Q: Do you need to oil first?**
A: I use these sheets for making bread rolls no oil used perfect none stick every time

**Q: Does this silicone baking mat fit a small size pan?**
A: Yes, they have great size for quarter sheet pan, also fit my air fryer well.

**Q: Can these be cut down for a mini oven?**
A: I don't know, they are 8" x 12" and have a 1" plain  boarder, the centre part is a type of woven material covered in silicone , which may fray if  cut.  I'm very pleased with them they work well and wipe clean.

17/4/25 Update: Following my review I discovered these mats were too big for my oven tray. The item is now 30x22cm, not 30x20cm as listed. As this size is not listed as a separate item I have to assume it wasn't the wrong item sent to me but that the product has changed so be aware. The rest of my review stands. Have ordered these a couple of times and find them such a useful alternative to non-stick parchment paper or equivalent. Being washable and reusable is obviously the biggest selling point as well as the fact they are the perfect size for most of my small/medium oven trays. I purchased these for baking to try and stop using as much grease proof paper and they have been good for this. They are smaller than I thought when I purchased them (they don’t fill a standard size baking tray) but have held up well and easy to clean.
