Review: Pleasantly surprised - I had been looking into bettering my overall health as well as losing some difficult belly weight and had come across this supplement I'd never heard of and how it might help with clearing the liver and getting rid of some fat. I'd also seen where it had some potential benefit with moods, but that was secondary, and finally it being mentioned with thinning mucous. It's still early to say anything definitive on the liver aspect, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the subtle changes in my mood. I'm not saying it's a "happy pill", its more like I feel more aware of my mood, more rational, in situations where I'd feel anxious or stressed, I feel more like I'm weighing the situation with more perspective.
Review: Big lung improvement - I started taking a 600mg pill of this once a day, two months ago, I take a half dozen vitamin supplements, most of them antioxidants, to slow the progression of AMD, and added this to the list for that reason. I also have COPD, and a lot of lung damage from industrial pollution and about a month ago noticed that my breathing had improved. Two months after starting taking NAC, it's still improving. Got curious, did a deeper search on this stuff and yes, it's known for helping improve breathing and a lot of other things. I'm realistic, I can't say for certain that the NAC did this, but I don't know what else it could be, either. I'm 87, having my lungs improve so much at this age is a pretty fine thing.
