Review: Perfectly good cutting - Packaging was good on arrival. I potted in a citrus potting mix, waiting a few weeks (it can be a slow grower if potted up after you receive it) and all of a sudden this plant is thriving in a south facing window. Don't expect any limes yet as I don't know how old the original plant was that the cutting came from, but people be aware - it could take 3-5 years before you see fruit, but again, it depends on the age of the mother plant. Also I've seen negative reviews about leaves being cut in half when they arrive - this is normal. Cutting the leaves in half on plant cuttings minimises moisture loss through evaporation, allowing the stem to focus its energy on growing new roots. This isn't 'damage' to your plant from the seller, it's just what a lot of plant distributers do for plant cuttings. It's fine. Don't get shouty about it.

**Q: What they look like**
A: Mine had one branch of leaves and after a month the leaves all fell off. It’s now a stick. Very disappointed.

**Q: Do you need to re- pot into larger pot**
A: the pot the lime tree comes in is a reasonable size for it to be and get started, it would be better to repot to a larger pot as the tree grows to allow space for the growth. the bigger the tree grows, the bigger the pot needed to allow space to grow

**Q: What soil to use when reporting into a larger pot**
A: I used John Innes no.3 compost

**Q: How tall is the tree, from when the trunk enters the soil? And is the any fruit currently on the tree? Thanks**
A: It probably depends on what they send and, when they send it. I bought mine in Spring, it was 1 - 2 feet high with leaves on, it wouldn't have fruit on at that time of year, not sure how tall they need to be to bear fruit, waiting to see

Packaging was good on arrival. I potted in a citrus potting mix, waiting a few weeks (it can be a slow grower if potted up after you receive it) and all of a sudden this plant is thriving in a south facing window. Don't expect any limes yet as I don't know how old the original plant was that the cutting came from, but people be aware - it could take 3-5 years before you see fruit, but again, it depends on the age of the mother plant. Also I've seen negative reviews about leaves being cut in half when they arrive - this is normal. Cutting the leaves in half on plant cuttings minimises moisture loss through evaporation, allowing the stem to focus its energy on growing new roots.
