Is there another way to secure this to the tree** A: I suppose you can get creative with a piece of wood and a strap, but the only way to secure the support rod is with the screw at the end. **Q: Does this fold down when not in use or once you put it up it’s up for good. Or will it support heavy snow?** A: It’s easily taken down. Just leave the mount screwed to the tree and the umbrella can be easily reinstalled when you need to use it again. It will not withstand heavy snow. I had two damaged this past winter. **Q: does it come with carrying case?** A: Yes it does- it’s a nylon light weight bag the umbrella comes in if you wanna call it a carrying case but has a loop at the top of the bag that can attach through a belt for transporting to your hunting or fishing spot. **Q: Does this come with the part that attaches to the tree?** A: I assume you mean the screw-in part that the umbrella attaches to. Yes it does. That said, select another manufacturer. I bought this umbrella and the threads were cast too high. I'm 25 ft up my tree and it would not screw into the tree. The threading started about a 1/4" up from the point. Company sent me another and same result. I contacted the company again and nothing was sent. Pretty sure this umbrella is made in another country for the company named on the box. Neither understand how this is supposed to work.
