    From a SteelSeries fan

As a big fan of SteelSeries products these headphones ended out being a disappointment as the left speaker has started to crackle to bass noises after only 6 months... I do not particularly listen to my games at a high volume and typically have the bass tuned lower to hear the mids and highs of footsteps better so when I started to hear it go bad I was pretty frustrated. I own an entire steel series setup including multiple mice over the last few years and keyboards and have only upgraded when I wanted to, never from product not functioning within a reasonable amount of time.Broken left ear muff aside the build on the headset feels great and the suspension system has been the lightest and most comfortable headset I have ever worn. I have worn these all day for work and all night for gaming with no discomfort, actually quite amazing and the first headset I have ever worn that is this comfortable.I also want to note a few things about this headset that are important:The DTX 7.1 is NOT true surround sound. It is an engine through the steel series 3 engine that takes stereo noise and adapts it. All this has ever meant to me is that I do hear things in a more 360 view, but it also makes people's voices in chat sound like they are yelling into a tin can as well because it cannot differentiate voice from SFX in game. That being said the standard stereo on the headset was more than adequate for detecting footsteps and identifying the direction in many games. Also the USB cable is wayyy too short and sometimes I found myself adjusting volume by accident with the control on the cable. If your keyboard does not have a USB port you will need to get a USB extender to keep from pulling them off your head.If I find these on sale for around $60-$80 I will be purchasing a pair again but given the fact the left speaker only lasted 6 months was highly disappointing and is by far the least amount of time I have had with a SteellSeries product...Overall these are a 4/5 set of cans... they lose the extra star from the product breaking past warranty but way before they should at 6 months...

    Meh Overall

Honestly one of my least favorite headsets I have used. Let me start with my personal concerns issues.1. Material- The material this is made from is cheap plastic, or at least poorly designed. The issue I have with this is not durability. The durability has actually been really good for scenarios I have been in relating to the Cord being Yanked. I will talk more about this later. The issue is anytime I move my head, even slightly, the headset creeks. That sounds carries through all the plastic and into the ears. Like wearing a squeaky chair where when you move, you hear it. I can partially live with that. The bigger issue around this is that the Mic pics this up easily. I have adjusted sensitivity, but balancing with your voice and these creeks makes this not a great headset. This is my biggest complaint honestly.2) Cord Length: Really. This cord is way to short. I have the USB plugged into the monitor that is 2 feet in front of mee and still feels like this is stretching and if it gets caught on anything (the wire) within that range, it rips the headset off, etc. This is something simple that should fix or provide at least a USB extender.3) Sound- The sound is ok, but not great I feel. It works fine and meets the needs, but not very diverse between music and games, even with the setting adjusted and more. Have gotten better audio out of $30 headphones.4) Comfort- This is actually pretty good. Doesnt hurt over longer periods of times. I wear with glasses and no added pressure.5) Price: I think this is priced a little off from the quality and expectations out there of similar products. I would say they are not worth $100.Conclusion: I would say that I would not recommend. When you are chatting with other people in game, they can hear everything through the mic (even with optimizing sensitivity). This includes background noise, audio in ears captured by mic, and also the biggest issue is hearing your headset creek and pop as you move around, which everyone can hear.

    Good budget gaming headset

I've used this headset almost daily for about a year, and it's held its course quite well. It doesn't sit on your head too tightly, the pads are comfortable, and the RGB lighting is alright. Even though it looks a bit flimsy, it has tanked every fit of anger I've had (which isn't too often, don't worry) with minimal wear. This headset works best when playing games; this is a gaming headset, after all. The 7.1 surround is really helpful in first-person shooters. I play a ton of Overwatch, and these have saved me from sneaky flankers quite a few times. It even supports plug-and-play for consoles. Plug it into a USB port on a console, and you have full headphone and mic capability. The inclusion of a mic mute switch is very nice, however I never used it much as I have a much better microphone for my PC.I do have some gripes about them, though. This headset isn't very good for just listening to music, especially if you like bass-heavy beats. The software that comes with them does have an equalizer that you can use to adjust the frequencies, but even with the lows boosted, there's still not a lot of bass. Occasionally, some frequencies will cause a grainy feedback sound in the speakers, which is very distracting when playing a game or doing homework. The cable is kinda short for my needs, so I would get a USB extension if you're using these with a desktop or a console. The volume adjuster dial attached to the cord broke for seemingly no reason, which was a bummer because that was such a useful feature. All in all, the Siberia 350 is a great PC and console gaming headset for a relatively low price, but they're not the best for listening to music.
