REPUBLIC OF TEA Mysterious Black Tea, 36 CT

Definitely one of my favorite Black Teas I've tried this year. Aromatic, flavorful and DELICIOUS with a bit of milk/cream and sugar. The tin is such a nice bonus and can be used to store additional black tea. Hoping this flavor goes back in stock because it is definitely a new favorite!

This is TEA-LICIOUS. I bought it for the tin, and then got a bit under the weather and decided to try the tea inside, and man oh man, this is the best tea I have ever drank. I come from an English family.... tea is as sacred as religion to us. I normally buy import tea because American tea is never as good as English tea...but this tea.... it is smooth, sweet notes, not bitter, full flavor, and has a light light fruity undertone and is great black or with milk/cream.I hope that when Republic of Tea inevitably discontinues these tins, they keep this tea. They need to offer refills or bulk packages ($4 upcharge on these for the collectable tin compared to their other teas.... and worth it for how good this tea is."

While it tastes decent and is certainly not bad tea, I apparently paid a premium price for a cool tin

I got this tea for the reusable tin (love it) but the tea is really good. It’s extremely strong black but mellows nicely with some cream and a bit of sugar. I would buy it it offered without the tin.

Got this for my man-child, who is a huge Mandalorian fan. He loves the flavor and the canister it comes in. It is far more expensive than most tea but for a special gift, it’s fun and worth it. He plans to re-purpose the tins afterwards- maybe as pencil or pen holders.

I like the Mandalorian, and I needed black tea because I had run out, so I thought I would give this a go. The tin has a fun design, and I enjoy that; but if it weren’t for the fact that the tin contained tea, I wouldn’t have bought it. So, this will be a review of the tea.This is a decent, plain black tea. The teabags are pretty typical, containing very fine pieces. (By that I mean, this is a standard teabag tea that is not whole leaf.) When brewed, the tea is a very dark brown, with a lot of body. It is moderately astringent. I find the aroma and flavor to be relatively bland — and aside from a very slight malty quality, I don’t notice anything that makes this tea special or different.It looks impressive in the tin and in the cup, but ultimately, this tea is just okay. Perfectly adequate! But, I don’t think it’s interesting enough that I would seek it out again. I also think that given its unremarkable flavor, for me it wasn’t a very good value for the money. It’s very cool that there is licensed tea for the Mandalorian, but I do wish that the tea itself were a bit more exciting.A final oddity: The app is prompting me to rate this tea on its “sheerness,” and I have no clue at all what that would mean here! I would only rate “sheerness” if this were something like cloth or clothing or paint. What’s up with that??

This tea has a great smooth flavor that does not get bitter after a long time of steeping. It tastes like Irish Breakfast but with even better flavor. The packaging was perfect! It came in a nice little box with padding and two tea samples.

This is a great gift for the Star Wars/Tea Lover. The black tea taste pretty good, not my favorite. On a scale of 1-10 I give the tea about an 8. The SW tin is reusable as well. Still super happy with this tea and tin.
