The main thing I didn't realize is that you can't surface this entire board in one go using the 3018. I fully assumed you could, but my YT 'instructor' had a spoilboard than his aluminum bed. This can get close, but you'll have to manually move it to get the edges. Further, I don't even know that surfacing it was required. If I could give my beginner-self advice; skip this until you need it for something specific. You'll save money on this and a special bit for it. Once I ditched this board and started just messing around I found that the T nuts were easier to get things attached to the bed anyway. Further, using the spoilboard's mounts with the additional height, I crashed my bit into them more than a few times - once actually starting to rip the nut out of the MDF. Long story short: if you know you need this, get it.
