Just one issue I had concerned the connecting of the supply wire/cables, do not unscre the wire fixing screws to far because if they fall out they are very fiddly getting the screw back into position. It has three holes for mounting to the existing back box, and these three holes are spaced about 6cm apart each - so the outer two holes are 12cm apart. The mounting points on my existing two gang back box are also 12 cm apart. That means I don't actually have any choice about which two holes to use - it has to be the outer two holes. If I used the middle hole then I would only be able to fix it with a single screw which would obviously not be satisfactory - it would be unstable. Now, I'm in the same position as the poster of the original question - I have an existing fused spur box immediately to the left of my existing two gang socket. That means I won't be able to use this product to extend that double socket. I'll either use it somewhere else in my house, or return it. **Q: I want brushed chrome sockets will a different face plate go on there** A: They fit standard single or double gang sockets.
