Review: LS1 2004 GTO - Purchased this oil cooler for my fully built LS1, just for some info, the LS1 engine is slightly different on the corvette and Gto compared to an LS2 or LS3. This cooler kit is great but the adapter will NOT fit an LS1, its not a big deal because you can still use the oil cooler and lines itself, but do yourself a favor and pick up a GTO LS1 adapter that has low profile for the studs used to mount the pickup. The LS1 comes equipped with oil pan studs so the pickup won’t fit with the bolts or the largeness of the pickup, unlike the LS2 and 3. After ordering a low profile pickup specifically, this kit has worked great.
