After being on keto for 5+ years (with the exception of 2020, because ya know, 2020), I’ve finally found a fantastic granola substitute! The first thing I noticed before even opening the bag was how heavy it felt. Everyone doing keto/low carb knows how frustrating it is to pay a premium price for a product that doesn’t have enough for more than a handful of meals, all the while the companies hide behind their “premium price for premium food” excuse, despite the fact that most of the ingredients tend to be fillers, junk, and most importantly, lacking bite and flavor. Not with these guys!I added two photos, the first showing the bag next to a generic 16.9 oz water bottle for reference to dimensions. The second is to show the size of the granola itself (which in hindsight, doesn’t do it justice. But if you’ve ever had honey bunches of oats, it’s about the same size).Aside from the strawberry granola, I also ordered their cinnamon crunch flavor, which is also great. I made myself a chia pudding/oatmeal with a few things, including the cinnamon granola, and it was amazing. Hands down the best oatmeal substitute I’ve had in all my keto years thus far. And for anyone interested, I’ll include the recipe below, which hopefully you guys will enjoy.Seriously, this stuff is not only delicious, but satiating as well. Also, I have never been a coconut person, because the flavor is just weird to me, and was worried this was gonna be mostly coconut and taste super coconutty (it’s a word, don’t h8), but despite being a primary ingredient, I hardly noticed it, which I love. Although $9.99 is more than I’d probably spend on most keto products, your guys’ granola is 100% worth the price, and this price tag for this amount of food will definitely keep me coming back.CHIA PUDDING/OATMEAL RECIPE:• 2 tbsp chia seeds• 1 tbsp hemp hearts• 1/4 cup keto granola (I used the cinnamon crunch)• 1/3 - 1/2 cup of water (depends on how thin/thick your preference is)• 1/4 cup low carb milk (I used Fa!rlife)• 1 tbsp whipped cream• 1 tbsp maple syrup (I used Choc Zero’s Maple Vanilla)DIRECTIONS:1. Stir the the chia, hemp, and granola so it’s well incorporated.2. If you’ve got the time, allow the chia, hemp hearts, and granola to soak in the water/milk mixture for about an hour or so. The flavor doesn't stand out much from one flavor to another. The serving size is super tiny, and a bit misleading. Basically plan on doubling or tripling the size to even feel like you ate a snack. Even then, its a small snack and of course, the carbs start to add up quickly if you double or triple your serving. The bag claims 10 servings but i feel that is misleading also, along with the low carb claims. Sure if you only grab a pinch its low carb. Lol!! But, its a good cereal if your missing that crunch in your life.
