This thing really works, it's a revolution for making steak.
I've always been disappointed making steak on my grill because I can only get it to about 450, which bakes a steak but doesn't really sear it.This gas broiler is the hottest thing I have ever had. It really is comparable in performance to a commercial broiler used by upscale steak houses. It produces so much heat that you have to put your steak on the lower levels because the top will just burn the meat in under a minute.I go about halfway down and then flip the steak several times and I've got medium rare in about 5-6 minutes max.Cleanup is super easy -- the parts that need to be cleaned are easily removable and made of stainless steel, so they go in the dishwasher. Build quality seems good. I'm not leaving it outside, but it's worked trouble free for six months and doesn't show any wear. The one caveat is the size -- it will sear only one steak at a time. If you're making for a group, you may want the larger size model. But this thing is incredible for the price.

Best bang for the buck, for a fast hit seared steak/burger
The media could not be loaded. The pros are it heats up quick I can light it by the time I smear out of burger patty and get ready to grill it's hot. It's Sears quickly without overcooking in the center I like a very rare burger or steak and unlike most gas grills that will overcook before it gets a good sear this unit definitely has the power and the heat and an even heat to sear a steak or a burger and leave the inside juicy and rare. The stainless seems to be a pretty high quality stainless I'm using this on the deck of my boat in the cockpit in a saltwater Marina I leave it outside 24/7 when I'm ready to cook I step outside I light it up I go inside I get my meat ready I come out I cook it and then I shut it off and I leave it there and there's no noticeable rust only a little discoloring where the heat flows out of the front but not resting even there very impressed with thatToo significant cons that I dislike and would like to see remedied is the ignition is kind of a pain in the butt it's hard to tell whether it's going to stay lit or not I generally have to light it and hold in the button for a solid 30 seconds and it seems kind of ridiculous that the electronic spark is going that whole time there should be a gas on button and then a separate button for the igniter so that you're not wasting all the sparking but I guess that's just a pet peeve of mine but it is hard to tell whether it's been on long enough that it'll stay lit or not I think there's some room for improvement thereThe other aspect that is kind of a pain in the butt is that the grease tray is not really big enough it doesn't take much grease if you're cooking for a few people or if you don't clean out the grease tray each and every time it will overflow and then it goes all over the place it is kind of a pain in the butt to clean up if it had a deeper and wider grease tray maybe that drained the grease out into a catch pan or a catch cup that was easy to empty that'd be a lot betterIn general if you like a good crispy sear without overcooking in the middle having it very rare someone even say raw in the center of a thicker steak this is the best bang for the buck it's like 1/10 of the price of the top of the line units and it seems to cook just as well I use this probably 3 to 5 times a week when I'm on my boat for the for dinner and I've been using it now for a couple of months and I don't see me stopping using it I just need to figure out a better way to deal with all of the grease that comes out of it

An Absolute Game-Changer for Steak Lovers!
This has exceeded all my expectations! So far, I've primarily used it for cooking ribeyes, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer.Ease of Cleaning: Cleaning up is a breeze. The stainless steel surface is easy to wipe down, and the grill's design minimizes grease splatter and residue buildup.Quality: The build quality of this grill is top-notch. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and durable, ensuring it will withstand the test of time and many sessions to come.Heat: What truly sets this apart is its ability to reach 1500 degrees quickly. This intense heat is perfect for achieving that restaurant-quality sear on steaks and other meats. It's a game-changer for anyone serious about grilling.Weight: Despite its impressive performance, this grill remains portable and lightweight. It's easy to transport for outdoor cooking adventures, making it a versatile addition to any setup.I've experimented with traditional broiling and reverse searing techniques, and the results have been absolutely unbeatable. If you're a steak enthusiast like me, I can't recommend this enough!

sears a steak in three minutes without warmup
This makes steak preparation very easy. Previously, I would preheat a cast-iron skillet for several minutes and add some ghee or tallow, sear the steak, then have to let the skillet cool and find a way to dispose of the used oil. Now I turn this broiler on, immediately cook the steak on one side for 90 seconds, flip it over, and cook the other side for 90 seconds. Then I turn it off. So simple, so efficient. Uses MUCH less propane and has almost no mess. I predict I'll sear 30 steaks before I need to clean the drip tray at the bottom. Even then, it's stainless steel, so it will be a two-minute process.

Well worth the price!!
If I had any dislike its the igniter stopped working but I use a long lighter anyway, but for me, this works so good. every other unit out there for sale is double the price and even way higher. Im carnivore diet so steak everyday and this has changed everything and makes it so easy to do, and gas usage isnt that bad. I use it every day and I mean every day and still only half of BBQ tank so far used. I love the drip tray because I collect the tallow and then filter and finish it off and save, for brisket flavor when you wrap them. yes its nice. This is such a great inexpensive tool for those of us on carnivore diets! I never wash the grilling plate but heat it on the top after I ignite it to clean and preheat it. You will have to be on it and learn the levels but from sous vide you want it close and you want it buttered to get a fast crust, and flip often trust me its worth it. I hope everyone elses experience is as good as mine. This is perfect for me and Im seriously thinking about getting the double one now also. its all I use now
