The tape has a soothing surface facing the skin and a waterproof surface on the reverse. I love it but it has one drawback: it sticks to the skin very well if the surface is smooth but if it has movement or stretch, it does not last. It tends to pucker and has to be removed. This drawback does not discourage me because the benefit of the medicated surface and the relief from irritation cannot be beat. It's also great for sensitive skin because you can remove it without pain or excessive pull.
