Review: First new phone in years, really like it - My older Samsung Galaxy S7 unexpectedly died, so I was in the market for a new phone. The current prices for phones is WAAAAAY more than seems reasonable to me - I need something for calling, texting, taking a few photos of the kids, and occasional web browsing. Not willing to pay $1000 for that! This phone was around $170 with tax when I purchased as a refurbished unit. After a month of ownership, I am really thrilled with the result. The 5G reception is ok and overall calling in our house is better than the old phone - here in the Hill Country of Texas, cell coverage is spotty at best. Battery life is outstanding and the facial recognition is a cool feature when it works. Doesn't like it when I have on sunglasses - which is all the time when outdoors, and even indoors in certain areas it will not unlock. Not a big deal, I'm used to entering a pin. All other features are what you'd expect, or I haven't bothered to try them. Camera is better than the old one as would be expected after 5-6 years of improvements. Overall, I feel this in an excellent value and would absolutely purchase again and recommend to my friends. Even has me thinking that I'll try another upgrade in a few years just to keep this one as a working backup.
Review: Durable - I like the '21 Samsung. The new wanna be IPhones are not my taste. As long as my carrier allows, I will be buying used. This phone is very durable, with a case of course.

### ⭐ Very Sorely Disappointed!!!
*by E***E on July 12, 2026*

UPDATE: I took this phone to a Verizon Store near me. They tried for an hour to get this phone connected with Verizon since it said it was Locked to Verizon! It didn't work! What's up with that? Why would you say the phone is "Locked to Verizon" if it isn't? I'm sorely Disappointed. I came back after the 5 star review to give a 1 star. Would've given a 0 if it was available :( I'll never trust this seller again. You ought to be ashamed to sell something like this if it isn't what you're saying it is. Do you realize this is "False Advertisment"?! I have been mad, upset and Very Sorely Disappointed! I trusted this because I trust Amazon. Now, I'm still without a phone. I need one because my husband has dialysis 3 times a week and they need to reach me if I'm not home. Plus he can't see. Shame for Shame!!! This is a Beautiful phone. I had an A42 and it started having some issues after about 5 years. I'm not a person that has to change my phone like I change my pants. I hold on to what works. The A42 gave me good service. Can't complain. So, I'm hoping this A71 will do the same. I personally believe it will. It's a refurbished phone. Locked to Verizon. Which is my choice. Exactly what I was looking for. The Screen quality is great. Speed is excellent. I haven't tried the fingerprint recognition out yet. The appearance is like new. Camera is great. I just received it today. So, I will try to come back and give a deeper review. Thank you for this product
