Lechuza has stood for innovation, design and a renowned irrigation system for 25 years. Thanks to the easy handling, the plant supply can be achieved even without green thumbs. Discover our high-quality planters as well as our substrates, fertiliser and care for the full plant splendour Thanks to the intelligent irrigation system, your plants can optimally take care of themselves - according to the model of nature. Our planters are shatterproof, UV and frost resistant, recyclable and processed with high-quality plastic. Fading, cracks or breaks are a thing of the past! We produce sustainably in our environmentally certified production plant in Bavaria. All black plant inserts are made from recycled plastic. The vessels can be completely recycled. After the watering phase, the plant supplies itself via the water reservoir. This can be filled regularly using the filling chute. Via the wick of the watering stick, which is inserted into the root area, the water enters the grow pot by means of capillary action and provides the roots evenly with moisture. Here, too, water and nutrients reach the root area of the plant via an absorbent thread thanks to capillary action and ensure a balanced supply. The entire range extends from universal plant substrates to special substrates for very special requirements. Unlike ordinary potting soil, the substrates are peat-free, have high root aeration and retain water and nutrients. Our long-term and liquid fertilisers provide your plants with sufficient nutrients. For those who want to do something good for their plants. ## Features - Balanced nutrient distribution in the root area of your planter - Suitable for all plants (even orchids and citrus plants) - Structurally stable, the optimal air/water ratio for plants of 45% water / 55% air - Stabilizes the ideal pH balance - Prevents fungus that attack the roots ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B085DPMXSH | | Best Sellers Rank | 4,227 in Garden (See Top 100 in Garden) 117 in Gardening Soils | | Brand Name | Lechuza | | Country Of Origin | Germany | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (5,636) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04008789195616 | | Item Highlight | Structurally Stable, Optimum Aeration, Good Drainage Capability, Potting Soil, Inhibits Mold, for Cacti, for Succulents | | Item Type Name | Planter | | Item Weight | 4.58 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | geobra Brandstätter Stiftung & Co. Try tipping your pot to drain it. Has your pot got drainage holes, if not get one that has. It is always better to under water rather than giving too much. Personally I usually use pot that have a water depth gauge. Like the Lechuza pots, but usually cheaper versions as they are expensive. I have never had problems since going over to Pon and pots with measures. **Q: How can we get a hold of terrapon or vegepon?** A: Go to Lechuza UK and order it directly especially during an offer. For example they had 10% off during Jubilee week. Mine was dispatched next day despite it being a bank holiday weekend and it arrived the day after that. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Decision I Made for My Alocasias! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 July 2026* I’ve moved my entire Alocasia collection to Lechuza PON because of a fungus gnat problem, and I’ve never been happier with the results. It retains moisture really well while still providing excellent aeration, and my Alocasias have never looked healthier. The quality of the PON is excellent too. Since switching to Lechuza PON, I haven’t seen a single fungus gnat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic alternative substrate *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 September 2026* I purchased the 6l bag. A great substrate. My Alocasias absolutely thrive in it. I use in self watering pots which I find helpful as I am definitely an over waterer. I love how easy it is to use, that it comes with fertiliser in and is reusable. I haven't found it too dusty, however I do rinse before use even though it is not necessary. Excellent quality. I will continue to use for all my plants. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alocasias love this *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 September 2024* I bought this after someone on Reddit recommended it for my sickly alocasia zebrina reticulata, it's made a huge difference. After a couple of weeks in pon he put out a new, glossy beautiful leaf.I have now put all my other plants in Pon. Monsters and philodendrons love it, peace lilies are no longer drama queens.I recently bought a couple of calatheas and so far they are doing okay too. I've even put a ficus benjamina in one - so far so good.I haven't given the plants a reservoir yet, I tried putting a spider plant into Pon with a reservoir and it rotted. They definitely need time to convert over and develop water roots. I top water about once a week then drain off any excess from my self watering pots. I shall try with a reservoir in a couple of months. This said, cuttings rooted in water are just fine with a reservoir. ## Frequently Bought Together - Lechuza 19561 PON Mineral Plant Substrate Potting Mix for Indoor Gardening, 6 Liter Bag, Grey - Fluval 12694 Plant and Shrimp Stratum for Freshwater Fish Tanks, 8.8 lbs. – Aquarium Substrate for Strong Plant Growth, Supports Neutral to Slightly Acidic pH - yarlung 6 Pack Self Watering Planter with Water Level Indicator, 5 Inch Plastic Plant Flower Pots Nested Container for Indoor Plants, Herbs, Aloe, Outdoor Gardening --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/240991434-lechuza-pon-peat-free-potting-compost-for-all-indoor-plants](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/240991434-lechuza-pon-peat-free-potting-compost-for-all-indoor-plants) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
