The difficulty scales based on how many people are playing and nothing in the game counteracts the increased difficulty. It gets to a point where it's pretty much impossible to win at 5 players, with no decision making or skill to prevent it. The board game brawl video review describes the cons more in depth, but end game with high player count seems to be the main issue. With 2-4 players the game is doable, fun, and just difficult enough to be one you have to fight to win instead of a sure thing. At 5 or above, the sun moves fast enough along the track that it becomes extremely difficult to win. Great experience though and loads of fun. One of the better board games i've played, and the visual style is eyecatching and beautiful.
