The two 60 watt incandescent bulbs are a bit dim and warm in color, and I may try a pair of daylight LED bulbs to see if the apparent brightness is improved, but generally I do not use overhead lights except when I enter a room and I then switch to a bedside or desk lamp. Not a big deal. I had a minor issue with the first fan that caused the fan to stop when I pushed the lamp base into position, contacted tech support & spoke with a very helpful person who ran through some basic troubleshooting steps. I ended up disconnecting the lamp module, unplugged and reconnected all internal connections making sure that they were all tight, reinstalled the lamp base and everything has worked normally since. Just an observation, this is not a quick job if it is done correctly, especially if an old fan has to be removed first. All parts fit well and I believe there is even a small bag with a few spare parts. One reviewer commented on the fan chain sticking and it is important to note that the fan chain has to be fed through a plastic guide hole in the base of the lamp, as well as through the bronze cap at the base of the glass bowl. Mine works smoothly with no sticking at all. Good range of fan speeds, very smooth running and quiet at all speeds. The "wood" blades to not look very convincing up close but the effect is pleasant and as they are running almost all of the time, again not a problem. I just need to see how these last. I will hopefully update in six months or so with an assessment at that point.
