Initial setup didn't take long, especially with WPS; however after 8 months of use, it stopped working and wouldn't reconnect. I contacted the company and they said they will replace it despite it being past the 3 month warranty. I'm giving 5 stars because the product does work well and provided the extra coverage I needed throughout the house, but the customer service went above and beyond to replace the item. Thanks. Makes me curious to know what happens if I connect the repeater to the wireless router via cad 5 cable or if I plug it in to an outlet in immediate proximity to the router will it then extend the network signal a further distance than it goes with just the wireless router? I didn't give the installation much thought, just using the WPS method. Press the WPS button on the router and run to the basement to press the WPS button on the device within two minutes. I did have to log on using the same user and password as the router - easy if you remember it.
