Review: Best camera strap I've owned - I've been using this camera strap for a few years now, and it's been perfect for how I like to carry and use my camera. I have always hated normal camera straps that hang around the back of your neck -- especially if you have a weighty full-frame camera with serious glass attached. This strap goes over one shoulder, and the soft, stretchy neoprene distributes the weight and doesn't dig in or chafe. I love that the shoulder pad stays in place, while the camera slides easily along the strap from your side to your eye. In other words, the shoulder strap doesn't hang up on your clothes or neck. I have a Canon 6D with a host of lenses; I've felt safe with the strap with all of my lenses, although I generally don't leave on the strap with the 70-200/f2.8 attached -- just because it is so heavy. Also, I appreciate the adjustable anchors and strap length. I've tightened the strap and slung it on my back doing some minor climbing on via ferrata climbing routes, and it's been secure enough not to swing. Indigo Marble has upgraded the design of the strap since I purchased it, with an additional safety tether and a deeper 3/8" recess in the tripod mounting plate attachment, which means you can easily screw in a standard tripod mounting plate to the L-bracket. I'm a big fan of these upgrades. After years of use and perhaps hundres miles of wearing this strap , the stitching on the neoprene strap started to come undone, but it wasn't a structural threat. It was time for me to get a new one!
Review: If you are touting a stock neck strap, toss it and get this - Pretty much inline with what others are saying about the product and the company. I love the strap - huge improvement in comfort and usability over my stock strap (60D). Camera is almost weightless at my hip with the strap situated on my shoulder, and although not huge I would not call the 60D svelte and it is hardly lightweight. Neoprene stays put. I wore it on a relatively hot and humid night and was surprised at how little I noticed it. Sliding buckles adjust easily to control how far the camera can travel. Design is lovely and allows the viewfinder to be brought to the eye effortlessly without the strap moving/tugging at all. The twice threaded screw allows for the use of other attachments (tripod) without having to remove it. I prefer the L Plate connector because... The L Plate keeps the camera aligned to your hip. (read - the lens no longer has to jut out away from your body as it does with the stock strap. The lens now rests tight to my body and somewhat around behind my back. This keeps my tele/zoom lens from getting bumped when in crowds/trees/passing my kids' heads and keeps me from having to walk with 'big arms' to protect it) It also keeps the correct side of the camera out towards my hand for quick-draw when I grab it off of my right hip. Without looking, the first place on the camera that my hand comes to is where it needs to be to take a picture. I realize that the picture of the gentleman in the pleasing indigo fleece above contradicts this description, but if you look close he is using the metal screw loop connector and not the L Plate. The company proactively inquired about my purchase satisfaction (as most sellers do) and promptly and again proactively remedied an issue I communicated by sending a replacement part, which I received before I even realized that they had replied to my message. Customer service is excellent. Product is superior to the stock straps, by far imo. Lens cleaning cloth cleans lenses with the best of them. Blue card is such a lovely indigo that I find myself donning the strap and camera just to snap photos of the card as I notice it lying around my home.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Value for the Money

Update: I’ve now been using the strap for a few years and absolutely love it! This strap has traveled with me and there have been many days in which I’ve worn it for hours at a time with no discomfort whatsoever. With my previous neck strap, I always found my camera began to weigh heavily on my neck in a short amount of time. I can wear a full-size DLSR on this strap for hours and not even know it’s there. I have had no problems with the construction-it still looks like new. I do check the connection screw in the bottom of my camera occasionally to be sure it is still tight, but I have no fear of my equipment dropping. The only other con that I have noticed is that for me, I sometimes find the strap can slide backward or forward on my shoulder which then can effect bringing the camera up for use when it runs into the top of the strap which has shifted. Mostly this isn’t a major problem. When wearing more smooth shirts I have to adjust the strap a little more often. Because the negative points made in my original post are still valid, I have not changed my 4 star rating, but definitely still recommend this product! My camera strap arrived just last week, so I haven't had much time to test it out yet...my first impressions have been very good though. I did quite a lot of research before settling on the Indigo Marble strap, and feel that the product I received is overall very representative of what I expected. If I could give half stars, this product would have gotten a 4 1/2. Pros: --The neoprene strap is very thick and comfortable. Wearing the strap over a long period of time will cause very little stress on my back or shoulder. --The construction seems to be very solid. Stitching is secure and fasteners are metal. --The carabiner that fastens the camera to the strap has a twist screw to secure it against accidentally opening and allowing the camera to disattach. (This was one of the features that drew me to this brand). --The strap comes with two camera connectors. I will probably not ever use the button connection since I like to have the option of mounting a quick release tripod mount to my camera, but the L-Bracket is sturdy and screws securely into the camera. --The strap comes with a camera tether. This was an important feature for me and one of the factors leading to my choice of this brand. The tether is solid and well constructed. I don't anticipate any problem with the L-Bracket, but I like the peace of mind that the back-up tether provides. Cons: --While I like the thickness of the neoprene shoulder strap, it can feel a little wide. I'm a 5' 4" woman and the strap borders on being cumbersome laying on my shoulder. Perhaps if it were a little more ergonomically shaped the width wouldn't seem so bad. Just a thought for future design tweaks. --The sliding buckle that allows for overall adjustment of the strap length begins to get in the way of where I want to have my camera hang at my hip. If I were taller or broader, this wouldn't be so much of an issue. For anyone smaller than I am, this would be a real problem. --Perhaps my main disappointment was the L-Bracket that came with the strap. I was under the impression that it would be a hinged bracket that would allow for the camera to lay flat when disattached. The bracket that came with the strap is a solid metal L which then doesn't allow the camera to lay flat on a surface without removing the bracket. It would perhaps be a good idea for Indigo Marble to make more clear in the listing, either in writing or with additional photos, that the bracket included isn't the adjustable hinge that they sell separately. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and with the contact I received from Indigo Marble during the shipping and delivery process. They seemed very accessible should I have had any issues with my strap being delivered...which I did not.
