Like hide glue, strings made of gut, horsehair for the bow. Thnks** A: I'm not sure about glues etc but the bow is horse hair from the tail of a horse. my daughter asked her violin teacher lots of questions about how they get the horse hair, he explained it her like when she gets a hair cut the house does to and it grows back! To my knowledge most if not all bows will be horse hair.
