Review: The postnatal vitamin I actually trust while breastfeeding - Still in the thick of the postpartum phase with a baby under a year and these have been part of my daily routine since I started breastfeeding. I specifically looked for something with folate (not folic acid) and choline since both matter for milk quality, and MegaFood checks those boxes. The tablets are on the larger side but nothing unmanageable. Feels reassuring to take something that was actually formulated for this stage rather than just a generic prenatal. The pill is a little big and it quite hard to swallow sometimes. The taste is a little sour and the odor is more towards veggies chalky taste.

A: No, because this is for after the baby is born. This will help with lactation a well. If anything it’s more like a multivitamin. It does help a little with regulation, probably cause it doesn’t have as much iron as a prenatal

I am three months postpartum and took these for the first time today. I wish I had sooner. For the first time since giving birth I have more than enough milk at bedtime. Usually bedtime involves and hour or two of nursing for baby to get as much as he needs. He was born with a tongue tie that was fixed, but it’s been a struggle. The pills are easy to swallow.
