We store the wetter stuff in the smaller bags as, they stand up to wet compostable items (like coffee & filters or other food scraps) for at least a week. We haven't really tested longer than that, but haven't needed to. The 13 gallon bags are great too and we use those more for damp to dry items. I have had problems in the past with other bags getting holes due to deterioration within a week, but I have not had that trouble with these. The company has also had great customer service and has been super responsive when we reached out with questions!
