It's a bit like papering around something. I cut it with secateurs and made it a bit longer to then wedge it in slightly. Don't cut it short. If you're fortunate enough to have any spare tiles, i lined them up on a workmate first and then cut them rather than do it on the roof. Another way is to make a template of the tile profile of a few tiles together with cardboard (just as an example) and use that to cut the tiles on the ground. Excellent mesh though and it worked for me.
