Hehe, I truly love this mat!!! Not just because it gets so many compliments but because of how well put together this mat is. I was so surprised that this mat is being sold for not even $25 and am now even more surprised because of the quality, beauty of it and even the accessories.This mat came with a carry bag to store or carry but it also comes with bright yellow straps that you can attach of detach so that your mat can go over your shoulder. Whats great about the straps is how well it contrasts from the beautiful green color of the yoga mat, which has a beautiful matching yellow logo in the center.For those who do not like too many colors, have no worries as this mat is double sided, with one of the sides being completely green, a beautiful shade of green by the way. I don't know if it's a placebo effect due to the description of this mat or not but it seems that this color is a great relaxer. When I am planking on it, I seem to be more relaxed, focused on keeping my pose and breathing better. The color really adds to a more relaxed state of mind, but maybe it's just a placebo effect on me.This mat is really thick, I measured it right under 1/2 inch in thickness, and this helped aid my back, elbows and knees during yoga poses, stretching and planks which is very importtant because my previous yoga mat which wasnt as thick left my elbows and knees bruised and sore all the time. The thickness of this mat enables me to not feel the floor underneath me during my routines. A+ FOR COMFORT!!!!For the price this mat is great. That being said, this is spongy, tears easily, and is quite stretchy. I doubt it will hold up long. I have used it 5 times or so, for yoga and boot camp classes. I try not to be overly rough with it, to extend it's life, but I think I will be lucky if it lasts a year (2 yoga/boot camp classes a week). I do like the extra cushion this has, as it is thicker than your typical yoga mat, but that extra cushion is what allows it to tear easily and be very stretchy. If you are doing poses at the end of the mat, you need to be cautious as the mat will move with you, if you slide your foot, the mat will also slide, though possibly not as much as your foot might. Minimal odor to it, should not effect buying decision. Great carrying strap and great carrying case, was worth the money for me, as I didn't have to buy a lot of extras with it since they all came with it.
