Dumb Cat is my go-to product for my cattery. First I scrub everything on a regular basis - but unneutered male cats have an especially pungent smell that no one can stand to be around it. I was disappointed that they no longer have the little black light for the keychain attached - I found it a great help when trying to ascertain where the darn cat marked his spot. I had to buy a full size black light to replace the keychain one that I gave to a client Spray it heavily into corners, crevices, and along the top of floor boards. Let it dry on its own - don't rinse or wipe it away. Cats avoid going there again if you soak the area - and it doesn't appear to do any damage to colors or paint. The scent is very neutral and not perfume-like It smells clean to me. But I like to use deodorizers that are scented like fresh linen. You don't have to dilute it, measure it, or mess with it. Just pour some into a spray bottle and go for it.
