The ESI Ribbed Rectangle Rubber Seal is a premium EPDM foam strip measuring .187” height by .500” width and 25 feet long, featuring a 3M 4011 acrylic foam tape backing for easy, durable installation. ## Description

Ideal Door and Window Weather Seal. Fills height gaps from .125" to .188". ESI Ribbed Rectangle EPDM Foam Rubber Seal – .187” Height x .500” Width x 25’ Length with .375" Width 3M 4011 Acrylic Foam Tape (.045" Height), Total Height of seal plus Tape is .230". To prepare your seal for application, cut to length with scissors or knife. Prior to installation, ensure bonding surface is properly cleaned with a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water solution. Optimum performance is between 25% to 45% compression, with 25% being ideal – less than 25% compression makes the seal less effective, and over 40% places the seal at risk for compression set and failure. All products are made from a custom formulated EPDM sponge rubber compound that guarantees protection from weather and noise for years to come. ESI (Extruded Solutions Inc) is a U.S. based manufacturing company since 2008. MADE IN THE USA

Review: Works as expected - I like it, was exactly what was described. May be looking for some other types as well.
Review: Bends without puckering or kinks!!!! - This ribbed rectangular 1/2” seal bends easily in both directions. I used this to replace a damaged septic tank lid seal. Sticks easily, stays on. Squishy enough to conform to the riser cut edge. I stuck some to a 2x6 to show how well it bends. See the pic. The lid will be opened again in 3 years. Every 3 years my system gets a mandatory inspection. The lid is a nonstandard size so no off the shelf seal was available.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Measures .240 inches thick...Great Customer service though!

This product is NOT .187" thick. It measures .240" thick. It was too thick for my doors. It was springing the door. I was comparing this product to Steele Rubber Products (70-3846-277) which is listed as the same thickness, however the Steele sample I received measures .200", much closer to the .187" (3/16") than this product. Also, it pealed off the door very easily when I removed it. The adhesive that Steele used on another self stick seal does not come off nearly as easy. Edit: 3/21/2026 The company contacted me about the original review. They refunded my money and explained that these rubber extrusions are dimensioned without the adhesive. I understand why that is (since some don't come with adhesive) but it doesn't help when you are looking for something of a specific dimension. I suggest they add an extra dimension for the adhesive or an overall thickness with the adhesive. Anyway, they offered to send me a sample of a similar product that has a very thin adhesive strip. I gave them my address and they sent me a whole package of the new product! Wow! That is customer service! Thumbs up to Carrie from the ESI Team! I measured the new product and it is thinner, even slightly thinner that the Steele part numbers I mentioned (which is interesting that the Steele part number mentioned, when I purchased 20' of it, it measures .235 which is .035" thicker than the sample they sent me...not good that what I purchased is thicker than the sample??). The ESI product is wider than the Steele which is a plus for my application. I will try to get it installed in the next week or so on one door and see how it fits and closes.
