Review: Perfect for holding tacos upright, keeping the fillings intact - I love making homemade tacos, but one of the problems with tacos is that they spill so easily and you have to keep putting your filling back in. That's why I went searching for some taco holders. I had some years ago that I think I got from Tupperware, maybe, but I lost them when my home was destroyed in Hurricane Opal. Luckily, I found the TacoProper Taco Holder FiestaPak Set of 12 at desertcart for a really great price and ordered them. These taco holders work very well. They hold your shell upright while you are filling them, while it sits on your plate, and you can even use them to pick up your taco with. The bright mix of colors is fun, but doesn't really match my décor. Although I've toyed with getting another set, I think I'd prefer to find something in a more neutral color that blends with my dishes better. Still, if the colors work for you or don't bother you, I would highly recommend this set. They wash easily by hand and even better in the dishwasher. Review: Love these - I love these. They definitely won't work with stand and stuff shells, but you don't need a taco holder for those. The shells I bought were a bit wide and did break, but the holder held them together while I ate them (and they break when you bite into them whether you use a holder or not). If you buy the thin shells, this product will work wonderfully. As far as tacos sliding off the plate, I have to go around a CURVE to get from the kitchen to my eating spot, and I had zero taco spillage. The holders do not screw into the plate, so if you're doing gymnastics while carrying your plate, you're going to have a bad time. If you walk and carry your plate like a normal person, you will be fine. Tip: If your shells are a bit wide, don't force the shell all the way to the bottom of the holder. Prop it up on top of the holder and it will still do a good job. Be gentle, taco lovers. ## Features - Works great for fast and easy preparation - TacoProper single taco holders CAN BE USED RIGHT ON THE PLATE! - Make up and serve as many tacos as you need. - TacoProper Taco Holders are a SUPER VALUE - TacoProper Taco Holders are extremely durable, dishwasher safe, colorful, fun and easy to use. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001JDG87G | | Best Sellers Rank | #603,126 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #2,131 in Serveware Accessories | | Bowl Material | Plastic | | Brand | The TacoProper? I love these taco holders. I will add a caveat: I like to grill my flour tortillas and make them slightly crisp, like a grilled quesadilla would be. I lay them on the grill or griddle just long enough to impart the char flavor and soften them up. With my method, the holders did work well. But I have not tried with flour tortillas straight from the bag. **Q: Do these holders stack for storage?** A: No they don't. I keep them in orig package. For storage. **Q: Are they BPA free?** A: Yes. Definitely. You can go to the company website at TacoProper.com, the company site states that the product is PBA FREE! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for holding tacos upright, keeping the fillings intact *by J***Y on April 29, 2012* I love making homemade tacos, but one of the problems with tacos is that they spill so easily and you have to keep putting your filling back in.
