You can choose different color handset to expand your system Silver - CS6509 (available on desertcart) Green- CS6509-14 (available on vtechphones.com) Blue - CS6509-15 (available on vtechphones.com) Red - CS6509-16 (available on desertcart) Less power wastage The power conserving technology reduces power consumption for optimal battery performance according to the distance between the telephone base and the handset. When the telephone base communicates with the handset, ECO mode will be activated automatically. Never missed a call This telephone has a built in answering system, and it also supports Voicemail if you have subscribed the service from your service provider. Different indicators used for two different types of voice messages: those left on the built-in answering system and those left at your telephone service provider’s voicemail. If "XX new messages" display on the handsets and the message window on the telephone base flashes, they are messages recorded on the built-in answering system. If "New voicemail" display on the handsets, your telephone service provider is indicating that it has new voicemail for you. Note: contact your telephone service provider for more information on how to access your voicemail. It can record and store up to 99 messages, depending on the length of each message. Each message can be up to 3 minutes in length. The total storage capacity for the announcement, messages and memos is approximately 14 minutes. Know who's calling If you subscribe to caller ID and call waiting service from your service provider, information about each caller will appear after the first or second ring. Three-way conferencing This system allow you to connect a outside call with two system handsets for a three-way conferencing. Review: Colorful! - I checked when I last bought landline phones for my mom and it was in 2012. The base needs to be hooked up to the phone line and comes with a short cord, you will also need a longer one unless you're putting it right by the phone jack. Thankfully I already had one that would work. This also needs to be hooked up to electricity. The additional three phones are green, red, or blue (the base and its phone is silver) and only need to be plugged in to the electricity, not a phone line. As soon as I had the silver base hooked up, the other three started working and had a dial tone. It does have the date and time blinking, so you use the menu and up and down keys to set that first, as well. Otherwise, these worked fine right out of the box, I was worried I'd have to fuss with pairing them or whatever. I like the bright colors of these! The bases are matching colors, as well. Answering machine part is also easy to use.

I checked when I last bought landline phones for my mom and it was in 2012. She was complaining that her old ones weren't working anymore, or holding a charge, so I decided on this set of 4 because it was colorful and would replace the 4 she had. The base needs to be hooked up to the phone line and comes with a short cord, you will also need a longer one unless you're putting it right by the phone jack. Thankfully I already had one that would work. This also needs to be hooked up to electricity. The additional three phones are green, red, or blue (the base and its phone is silver) and only need to be plugged in to the electricity, not a phone line. As soon as I had the silver base hooked up, the other three started working and had a dial tone. It does have the date and time blinking, so you use the menu and up and down keys to set that first, as well. Otherwise, these worked fine right out of the box, I was worried I'd have to fuss with pairing them or whatever. I like the bright colors of these! The bases are matching colors, as well. Answering machine part is also easy to use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice set of cordless phones with one big drawback

This set of cordless phones are a nice addition with the exception of one issue. The quality of the phones are good. The handset fits into the hand nicely and has a clip on the back if you need to hook it to something. My wife really likes the multiple colors so she knows when she sees one she knows where it's supposed to go since our children seem to leave them where ever they are when they end the call. The sound quality is good and we haven't had any issues with the battery life so far. My one issue is a holdover from the previous cordless phones we had. When the phone rang it would either say the name if the caller ID had it or the phone number if it didn't. This Vtech model doesn't do that. It just rings so you either have to have the phone next to you or walk over to it to see who's calling and that is a pain in the butt just to see that's a spam call. Bottomline, if you don't mind not having the phone announce the caller these are a good addition to your home. If you like knowing who's calling you, then you might want to look elsewhere.
