Even in quite bright sunlight it can be seen from about 200m on max power. What I also like about it is that unlike some competitors lamps it produces a widish beam so even if the lamp is not 100 percent perfectly aligned the beam can still be seen from behind the bikes centreline. Cygolite make an even more powerful model, but I think that would be best for daylight use only in countries that have very powerful sunlight such as southern Europe.
