The first problem I encountered was that they only work with certain kinds of faucets because they have to screw on in order to actually fill the balloons. They work just fine with a hose or outdoor faucet, but not with a kitchen or bathroom sink. Once you find a faucet that works, they do fill quite easily, although they waste a lot of water (once they fill and drop off, the water still pours through the straws). Once I got them filled, the purple ones stayed full, for the most part, but the orange ones all leaked out.
