The length allows you to roll from your back to your side without having to adjust your pillow---either direction. I love the length! I am happy with the weight....not heavy like others. Some reviewers say it's "light" but I'd say it's "just right" and that most other brands are way too dense and hard.Bought this pillow due to neck pain and alignment needs and it's serving my needs well. It's the perfect size to take the pressure off your neck and align you just right. I absolutely love it and look forward to bed now! Price is more than fair at $40.
