## Questions & Answers

**Q: I will be getting voip in a week or so. will this unit work to interface my voip with my existing dect quad cordless system?**
A: Mine did. My previous DECT handsets were also Gigaset brand (but over 10 years old) which could have helped, but I think as long as your handsets are made to the DECT standard it will work fine.
You will need to abandon your existing base station, and just use the handsets and chargers directly with the new DECT base station. 
Probably best to 'factory reset' the handsets and pair them up freshly to the new base station. A lot of DECT handsets will work to more than one base station, but if you are dropping your regular phone service in favour of VoIP, you wan't have any use for the old base station anyway (except perhaps as a charger if it is also a handset charger as well as base station.

Good value base station for Gigaset cordless phones. Allows time to synchronise across all handsets and allows for passing numbers from memory of one phone to another. All in all does what it should at a sensible price.
