Review: Great idea. Does the job a treat. - I wanted to start using my old, everyday Sheaffer fountain pen but didn't want to have to fork out for new cartridges or a converter. I took a punt on these syringes (under £4) in the hope that they'd work as well as the hype. I had one empty cartridge left in the pen and in less than 2 minutes I had filled it with my preferred ink - no mess, no fuss, no leaks. I'm very pleased :) As someone who often leaves my pen idle for several minutes and finds it frustrating to pick it up to use only to find the ink has dried and I need to encourage the ink to flow again, it's great to be able to use my preferred ink that continues to flow easily after a period of no use (several minutes with the top off, or several days with the top on). Four quid well spent.

A: Yes they can, absolutely ideal for doing it, but you may need someone to hold the items you are transferring from/to, as it’s slightly awkward doing it one handed, till you get used to doing it, the only warning I have when you are transferring the ink into the converter, do it very slowly, or you will end up with very inky hands .

**Q: can these be used to refill disposable ink cartridges?**
A: Yes, just clean your empty cartridge first. Make sure when inserting the filled cartridge into the pen that the open end of the cartridge is pointing upward of course!

This does exactly what I wanted. Fitting the needle to the syringe via. a tiny plastic adaptor is a bit fiddly, and requires a surprising amount of force to push home. It MUST be seated properly as the last thing you want is leaks! I think the makers could improve on this, but otherwise it's fine.
