I used cupcake toppers on this batch of cupcakes and some are pretty tall, so they wouldn't have all fit on the bottom tray (I tested some for one of the pictures), but there was plenty on the top tray to fit them. Since I only had two dozen cupcakes with toppers and two carriers, I was able to make it work. Otherwise, you'll have to add toppers when you get to your destination. So, so happy with this cupcake carrier. I have one of the Wilton ones that holds one dozen cupcake/one sheet cake and the holders don't fit the cupcakes! Even when I use Wilton liners, they're still too big for the notches, so I always had to put them on the flat sheet cake side and pray they didn't get ruined in transport. When looking for carriers that held 2+ dozen, there weren't really any that got stellar reviews across the board, but this seemed like the best bet. I'm so happy I chose this one. It's very sturdy and I like that it collapses to save space. I bake a lot for family events and I had this other tote thing I bought at Walmart and honestly it kind of sucked. And it was bulky. And it broke. So I was searching for another one and I found these. They are a little pricey in my opinion. But also pretty worth it. They seem to be good quality. I haven’t had issues yet. And the little like pockets or cup slots or whatever to stick the cupcakes in are pretty deep so even if you’re a less than cautious driver like me, your cupcakes are safe from tipping over. And you can’t really tell too much in the pictures, so I was pleasantly surprised when they were delivered. The main selling point for me, is living in a small house with not too much storage space, is the fact that they collapse down. It takes up hardly any space and I really appreciate that. I had to buy two, because it’s usually big events.
