While I preferred the easier velcro-based assembly of my original light box, this one is more compact for storage and portability since it can roll up. It is also about half the cost of my original light box and has tiltable lights that may come in handy and a diffuser, which I find necessary (I had to purchase some material to make my own diffuser in my first light box). If I had to take this apart a lot, I would find it cumbersome to do so (maybe I would get faster at it with practice...I found it easier to assemble the framework inside the fabric rather than slide it in fully assembled as the instructions suggest--I wasted time trying to do that), it took maybe 15- 20 minutes to put together while my old box took under 5 minutes. However, since I will only set it up now and then and can keep it up for extended periods, I am quite pleased with this one. It feels substantial and well made for what it is and the price (under $70?) was exceedingly good. Very good brightness, nicely adjustable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars White backgrounds still came out gray *by N***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2022* I was so excited to buy this item to photograph my products that I sell on Amazon. It was easy to set up and very flexible in the options it offered. However, no matter what I did, the backgrounds were just too gray and if I adjusted the white balance, it threw everything else off. I had to return it, unfortunately.But I still have to say it's very well designed overall and you can set it up any way you want, you can place the lights in numerous places. It helps the user to take awesome pictures. As for portability, I would not be inclined to take this apart and would only move it to another location if it would fit into the back of my car, I would not take it apart.
