I was skeptical of its effectiveness to relieve pain because it was floride free. However, after the first use, the pain was very much reduced, almost tolerable the next day. It is very foamy, so you don't need to use much, and it tastes good. I have used it 3 times a day so far, but now will change to night time only, and use a quality paste and rinse that is also for enamel repair and sensitivity after eating during the day. Hopefully just using at night will still keep the pain at bay until I can see a dentist. I have a problem molar, a crown that sits on top of an area that I have been told by dentist needs a root canal, but doesn't show up on x-rays yet. I started using this at night a few weeks ago. I brush my teeth like I normally would, paying special attention to that area with the paste. After brushing, I leave the paste in my mouth for about 30 minutes. And then I rinse. I started noticing a difference about 7 to 10 days after using. Before I started this routine, that area hurt whenever I ate something hard or crunchy. And most recently, temp started bothering it. I have been using "sensitive toothpaste" for years, and have had good results. But for the past several months, there was this pain and it was getting worse. It is without a doubt making a difference with my teeth and quality of life (no pain). I am getting no pain from eating anymore or from extreme temp.
