**Q: Why does the charger’s fan operate continuously/keep shutting off?**
A: The fan will operate as needed and it is normal for the fan to sometimes operate continuously. Keep the area near the charger clear of obstructions to allow the fan to operate efficiently.

**Q: Why is the display showing “SUL”?**
A: This indicates that the battery is sulfated. The charger will automatically attempt to repair the battery. If the battery has not resumed normal charging after 10 hours, have it checked.

**Q: Why won’t the engine start work?**
A: There are several possible reasons, including that the vehicle is drawing more current than the engine start rate, failure to wait 3 minutes between cranks, the charger is overheated, or the battery is severely discharged. Check the user manual.

**Q: Can I use an extension cord with this charger?**
A: The use of an extension cord is not recommended. If you must use an extension cord, make sure it has the same number of pins as those of the plug, is in good condition, and the wire size is large enough for the AC ampere rating of the charger.
