Well, one day the stress just got to him and he decided to go all Texas chainsaw massacre but he didn’t have a regular chainsaw so he tried to use this instead.. There he was… trying to saw off my mother in laws leg and she was just like “Roger what the hell are you doing?” I feel like a lot of lives were saved that day. Because this was too slow to really hurt anyone.
Review: Light, cuts quick, and durable! - I spent WAY too much time researching these. Ended up with this one because of the 36" length and teeth on every link. I keep it in my backpack when mountain biking to clear trails. I'll see people lugging a big chainsaw up and all I can think of is "I can do the same thing!" The 36" length let's you cut stuff that a regular folding saw would be a struggle. My first real test was a 40ft tall tree that had snapped at the base and was stuck in the middle of a trail leaned up against another tree. I whipped out the chain and went to work. It was too heavy to move, but every time I cut, the tree fell slightly more out of the way of the trail. I was able to cut through the tree (about 10" at widest point - see pic with hand for scale) in <60 seconds. Chain got pinched a few times but with some clever angles & muscle you can make it work. For a hand-driven saw with 40ft of tree weighing on it, that's not bad! I highly recommend this pocket chainsaw. I can see this getting a lot of use with very little drawback!

I spent WAY too much time researching these. Ended up with this one because of the 36" length and teeth on every link. I keep it in my backpack when mountain biking to clear trails. I'll see people lugging a big chainsaw up and all I can think of is "I can do the same thing!" The 36" length let's you cut stuff that a regular folding saw would be a struggle. My first real test was a 40ft tall tree that had snapped at the base and was stuck in the middle of a trail leaned up against another tree. I whipped out the chain and went to work. It was too heavy to move, but every time I cut, the tree fell slightly more out of the way of the trail. I was able to cut through the tree (about 10" at widest point - see pic with hand for scale) in <60 seconds. Chain got pinched a few times but with some clever angles & muscle you can make it work. For a hand-driven saw with 40ft of tree weighing on it, that's not bad! I highly recommend this pocket chainsaw. I can see this getting a lot of use with very little drawback!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It rips through wood!

I bought this to rip through fallen trees (small ones) that block trails that I am riding on. I mountain bike a lot, and in spring there are often fallen trees or branches crossing the trail. We have mostly aspen and pine here in the Colorado mountains and the teeth on this thing rip through that stuff! The blades are very sharp right out of the box. I don't know how long that will last, but at least when it's new, they are very sharp. One thing to be aware of if you haven't used one of these before is you need to get your form dialed in. Pull evenly and straight in each direction. Otherwise you get into a situation later in the cut where the chain binds in the cut. The better you get at pulling straight and evenly, the quicker you can rip through a piece of wood. Other than that, it's a very handy tool. Great for ripping up some small fire wood too.
