Review: These work perfectly if you follow short, clear instructions - Instructions say on first page to spread the tines apart to 3 inches. This was easily done with my hands. No tools needed. See photos. I don’t know why, but my first couple rosettes never turn out quite right and get tossed. The rest of them turned out just like my mom’s and grandma’s. Light, crisp, nicely formed. I use a family recipe, not the one in the instruction booklet. But it’s similar. Make sure to pre-heat the irons by putting them in the hot oil. You may have to experiment with oil temperature and with how deep into the batter you dip the irons. Too shallow and the batter curls up when it hits the oil. Same thing happens if oil is too hot. Too deep and you can’t get them off the irons in one piece. Batter has to be just below the top. So delicious and pretty when they’re done!

**Q: How deep are the rosette makers? I am searching for a 2" one.**
A: I have never seen 2" rosette makers...........been making these for years  & they are less than 1/2".

**Q: Can anyone tell me if this handle will fit other irons and which brands that would be?  I inherited a set sans handle.  What diameter is handle tip?**
A: Depends on the opening of your rossett. I say no.

A: No, 1/2" however, the cookies puff up a bunch making for beautiful Rosette cookies.  Yummmmm

A: Son pequeñitos, incluso en mi caso no caben las dos piezas... la separación que tienen entre ellas no caben ambas piezas pero son pequeñas la flor y el cieculito son las que quedan más grandes están al tamaño quizá de la Palma de la mano

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product for the price

Made a double batch of rosettes last night, and it went fairly smoothly. There is more of a problem with the batter falling off the irons than I've had using my in-laws' [perhaps twenty years old] Norpro irons, but I managed. It's true these are cast aluminum instead of iron, but I had more luck with batter sticking when they weren't as hot, so I think the problem has more to do with surface finish than material choice. I do think I'll make replacement handles for them with a piece of word and some lag bolts from the hardware store. The double iron thing is kind of a pain for dipping, and I've got some blistered knuckles where I got too close to the pan as the handle's a little on the short side. Additionally, a little notch in the wood would be awesome for perching the handle on the side of the pan while you're dipping the next one...
