Yes there's a little flex as others have mentioned, but it's a 9 inch, $20 fin, it's not going to be made of carbon, but it works great in the water! Adds a lot of life to the old wavestorm. The clear looks really cool too. I punched a hole in the traction pad to move the fin forward, and used one of the extra plugs that are provided to cover the hole closest to the tail. I just used a screw driver and pushed it through. Very easy, and works/looks great. I wouldn't recommend using the two standard holes, the fin will nearly hang past the end of the board, and limit controllability. Just look up pictures of actual long boards to see their fin placement for comparison. Overall, well worth the $20.
