**Q: Does this switch replace the middle door switch on a bosch hmv 3053u/01 microwave?**
A: Usually there are 3 switches on a microwave door.  The top and bottom switches are normally open and the middle switch is normally closed.  If the prong comes out on the nc line on the side of the switch it is normally closed, if the prong comes out on the line that is labeled no then it is normally open. If you are testing then the nc switch makes a circuit without pushing the button and one pushed the circuit is interrupted with no being just the opposite
