LA SAINTE-CHAPELLE - “The Holy Chapel” is a Gothic chapel on the Île de la Cité in the heart of Paris, France. It was built between 1244 and 1248 and is perhaps the high point of the full tide of the rayonnante period of Gothic architecture. The palatine chapel of the royal palace on the Île de la Cité, was built to house precious relics: Christ’s crown of thorns, the Image of Edessa and thirty other relics. Later a piece of the True Cross and other relics were added. The most visually beautiful aspects of the chapel, and considered the best of their type in the world, are its stained glass windows.

Das Puzzle sieht fertig gelegt gut aus. Allerdings waren viele Puzzleteile, zu viele für meinen Geschmack, an der Oberfläche leicht geknickt, sodaß ich das Gefühl hatte, keine echte Neuware bekommen zu haben. Die Qualität der Puzzlepappe scheint mir nicht so gut zu sein wie ich es von anderen renommierten Puzzleherstellern kenne. Außerdem wird beim Zusammenlegen sehr schnell deutlich, daß an allen 4 Seiten einige Millimeter fehlen, verglichen mit dem Foto auf der Packung und dem beigefügten Extrabild. Dadurch fehlt an beiden Senkrechten die Hälfte der ohnehin dort nur angedeuteten Kirchenfenster, ca 1-2 mm. Im Endzustand sind diese Fenster nur noch als vereinzelte bunte Sprenkel am Bildrand zu erkennen. Ansonsten aber ein interessantes Motiv und gut zu puzzlen, bis auf das Dach, das wegen der dunklen Farbe etwas schwieriger war.
