## Description

Product Description The Bone™ is our first and most popular creeper model, an American made product to ease the woes of mechanics worldwide. Originally called the "Captain Creeper" when it was invented in 1974, its unique shape led it to be renamed as "The Bone™" when it went on sale to the public in 1996. Since then it has become a standard for quality in the creeper industry, and is widely asked for by name. Most importantly, however, is the fact that all of our creepers are American made, in a world where so many formerly American products have had their production moved overseas. The Bone™ features a uniquely shaped body which cradles the user between the wheels only an inch or so above the ground. The big, easy rolling wheels are positioned outboard to provide a strong, stable working platform that can't tip or flip the user. The rib-reinforced body is molded of a state-of-the-art, engineering grade co-polymer that resists the effects of common solvents, so cleaning is quick and easy at the end of the job. The smooth, comfortable one-piece design has no cracks, corners or other pinch points, and the outboard wheel pods prevent tipping and flipping. The Bone™ body is a patented design which allows the use of large diameter wheels with specially formulated tires that roll easily over all sorts of obstacles, including rough floors, drop cords and air lines, loose parts and even tools and floor grates. The wheels are fastened to the creeper body with four 5/16" diameter through bolts so they can't pull tear out or break off in any common use situation. The Bone™ is extremely low to the ground, your back is a mere 1 ¾" off the ground when using it! One of the most important features of the Bone™ is its wheels. Ordinary creeper wheels are a conventional creeper's weakest point. They're too small, so they get hung up or stopped by even the tiniest obstacles, and they have a real knack for tearing out or breaking off at the worst moment. To add insult to injury, the replacement wheels can cost almost as much as a new creeper. The Bone™ has custom-molded, 5-1/8" diameter wheels with oil-impregnated center bearings and specially formulated molded-in-place 1" wide tires that roll even easier and last even longer than the previous design. The heavy American made cad-plated steel caster frames have dual race ADJUSTABLE ball bearing swivels and are thru-bolted to the creeper body. In addition, the winged design adds form to function. Best of all, the wheels are guaranteed for the life of the creeper (against manufacturer defects)! The 300 pound capacity Bone™ creeper has become the benchmark to what other creepers are compared to. Don't buy a cheap Chinese made creeper that will only last you a year and drive you crazy in the process! Buy an ALL AMERICAN Bone™ and see what it is like to ENJOY using a creeper! From the Manufacturer Hung up? Broken wheel? Pulling your hair out? Do any of these describe your current creeper? Well come on over Rover and fetch yourself a bone. The bone creeper, that is. The easy rolling 5-Inch diameter polymer tires on this creeper move easily over cords, sand, gravel, drains, tools and even parts, so getting hung up is something you'll only do with your phone. It features a ergonomically designed injection molded body, durable dual-race ball bearing swivel wheels that turn freely and a strong 4-bolt mounting fastened to the body with a 5/16-Inch bolt that won't pull out or tear off. It also has a low 1-Inch ground clearance and a smooth one-piece molding that cradles you comfortably between the wheels.

Review: Great creeper - worth the higher price - USA Made and USA Made Parts! - Okay so prior to buying this creeper I already knew what to expect because my Dad bought one a few years ago and overall I like it. It seems very durable and almost rolls too good. I find myself having to prop up against a tire to do anything that requires too much force or you simply roll away. I like the casters (or wheels are more like it) and it will roll over cords though I don't recommend doing that. I absolutely love that the creeper and its parts are made in the USA. They even include a little brochure with the detailed list of all the parts and where they are made. The only reason I knocked it one star is assembly. After paying over $100 for this creeper - I get it and had to attached the wheels myself. That blows because it is 16 bolts and 16 nuts. Not hard or anything I just would have thought for $100 creeper they maybe could have done this at the factory. I am 6'4 tall and this creeper is a little short - but then again most items I try to use that involve my height usually are too small anyway. For the average size person I think this would be good. The other improvement they should make it the headrest is a really nice soft excellent quality piece but it is mounted too low on the creeper. You have your head stuck between the two ends of the bone which for me is a bad angle unless you are laying directly below your work and I try not to that at all. I find myself resting my head much more on the actual wheel housing on the end of the bone propped up a slight angle while working off to the side or above/below my face. In closing - I have done the cardboard/blanket and cheap creeper thing --- this is like a Cadillac over a Pinto - no comparison. I highly recommend it if you spend a lot of time on your back under rigs like I do.
Review: What a creeper should be. - I have had several creepers over the years and frankly hated every one of them to the point of just getting rid of them. Seemed like the smallest obstruction would stop the creeper....a small pebble, crack in the pavement, the cord from a trouble light, etc. And since we all don't have glassy-smooth epoxy coated floors, typical creepers just didn't work well. I decided to try this one because I knew it would be really low to the ground, light weight, and had really tall wheels for rolling over small obstructions. Well it is awesome. I totally love it. They really meant it when they said it will roll over an extension cord....I can't believe it, but it really does. The action of the casters is really smooth too....turns and maneuvers really easily. My build...I am 6'2" and about 200 lbs. I fit the creeper really well, and it is really comfortable. Upgrades....I added some fender washers under the bolts, when assembling the wheels to the body of the creeper, just to provide some added stability for the bolts. Probably not required, but I am rather particular and thought this would make it a little stronger.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can i get new wheels for mine? Ive had it for fifteen years and Im on the third set.**
A: If your on your 3d set of wheels then you should already know the answer. If your 3d creeper then idk.

**Q: Does this come with bolts can’t find with ours that we just got ????**
A: Yes should have come with the bolts to hold the casters on.

**Q: What about rocky surfaces ? How does it stand up ? Thanks**
A: SORRY for the late response. I would not recommend this if using on a rocky surface. It has a hard enough time maneuvering over the stress relief joints in my garage.

**Q: If you sit in the middle (170 lbs) will it bow and drag?**
A: No. I’m 185 and there’s no bowing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great creeper!
*by C***D on October 8, 2013*

I ordered this as a gift for my father, he had a creeper from 100 years ago and it was time for it to be replaced. I was concerned he'd have an issue with the raised edges cutting into him as he laid on it since he had one I bought for him previously that did that, but this one is pretty comfortable. For a reference my father is about 6 foot tall, and a little over 200 lbs and it's comfortable for him and rolls great on his garage floor and glides easily over the seams on the floor. It feels solid and is totally worth the money. I did the research and the price on this is pretty good.
