This is why I am a die-hard fan of the convertible pet stairs. They have allowed me the freedom of being at ease without having to constantly lift Cindy and help her get to her preferred spot. The convertible pet steps provides fabric covered steps with the right amount of traction and support. It has a strong and durable wood frame with metal brackets, making it perfect for small, medium size, or aging pets with limited mobility. The best part is that you can use this as either a 3 step staircase or as a ramp. Cindy loves the ramp part! It accommodates pets up to 36 pounds in the ramp mode and 17 pounds in the stair mode. It folds really easily for storage and travel, as well. It measures 15"H x 15"W x 27"L. Definitely not wood, plastic not sure what it is. Cheap cover over stairs that is attached by velcro and the other parts f the velcro is stapled on. Ramp is too steep for a small dog and stairs are not very sturdy. Personally if I were to see this in the store I wouldn't pay more the $10 for it. Actually I wouldn't buy it.
